The Butterfly Effect

The idea of the butterfly effect explores an interesting concept: the smallest actions or decisions, like a butterfly flapping its wings, can cause a series of events that can drastically impact complex systems. This theory perfectly describes the journey of my relationship with my dear friend, Gina Gravagne, to whom the piece is dedicated. The Butterfly Effect, written for viola and piano, encapsulates the loving, benevolent, energetic, and sentimental aspects of our friendship and further represents how our initial introduction has bloomed into the beautiful camaraderie that we share with each other and the future that awaits to be written.
