This quartet for brass by Kenneth Downie is inspired by the well-known finale from Handels 5th Suite for harpsichord called The Harmonious Blacksmith. The attractive theme gives rise to a range of moods, ranging from lyrical to light-hearted and reflective to virtuosic.
