The Little Dipper is a medium tempo shuffle/blues chart that swings hard from beginning to end! It opens with a unison melody by the brass which is repeated with the sax section playing the background harmonies. Following the open solo section the piano and bass are featured, then a quiet ensemble chorus builds to a roaring shout chorus. The solos are flexible over easy B-flat blues changes. The brass ranges are moderately high with optional lower notes provided and an optional flute part is included. Don't miss this very strong chart! Highly recommended!
