The Mudbug Strut

A New Orleans street parade comes to life with this chart! A 2nd line snare drum beat drives the Dixie-based ensemble, complete with tailgate trombone. There are written solos for trombone, alto sax, plunger trumpet, and bass, and tuba may be substituted for the bass for even more authenticity. An additional clarinet part is included as well. An exchange between the drums and ensemble leads to a roll off that launches the shout section and traditional ending. The trumpet range goes to written high G and trombone to F. Highly recommended!
