A terrific original by Patty Darling, The Next Chapter is a fresh, contemporary easy-to-play chart. Starting with a light rhythmic feel, this great tune settles into a happening rock groove featuring a catchy melody over written out rhythm parts. There's creative writing in a big band setting with some vocalized "oohs" and "ahhs" by the horn players, and there is solo space for alto saxophone. This very cool original will add great contrast in any concert program!
