A 16 minute concert work for 2 percussionists playing multiple instruments and piano (4-hands) commissioned in 1987 by Piano Duetists Gerhardt and Barbara Suhrstedt. They loved the Bartok Music for Piano and Percussion and they were also fascinated by Mr. Hazzard's use of percussioin in his band and orchestra compositions. They asked him to create a new piece for them based on the Seven Deadly Sins of the Middle Ages. Each movement is a miniature musical ""picture"" of those sins. During the late 1980s and early 1990s the Suhrstedts performed this work on many of their tour stops around the US and in Europe. They are heard performing it on the audio file available here."
