Their Finest Hour

Their Finest Hour was written to honor our nation’s heroes who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our great country. This piece represents musically what I feel to be the soundtrack for the “Great American Hero”. Although no classic American melodies are present, one can envision a hero’s theme personified in the music. The dynamic fanfares project bravery and honor, while the melodic chorales in the ‘B’ section represent humility and selflessness. Mixed meter abound, this work gives performers a metric and rhythmic workout!
