Toccata from Suite Gothique, Op. 25

This is a faithful transcription of the final movement of one of the best-known suites for organ by French composer and organist Léon Boëllmann. Appropriately placed techniques provide effective accents which convey the spirit and excitement of the work. Ringers will be busy throughout, from the sixteenth-note accompaniment in the sixes to the rung melody in the threes and fours, and inner-voice accompaniment in the fours and fives. A variety of dynamics and even a touch of occasional syncopation will ensure the audience is fully engaged throughout as the piece moves through a variety of iterations to the dynamic ending.
