Two Songs by Beethoven

Beethoven, famous as the composer of his 9th Symphony, also wrote many folk-like songs such as these. These songs were arranged to help young brass students (e.g. middle school age) develop their musicianship through chamber music performance. The contrasting styles of the songs help develop clean, crisp articulation, full legato phrasing and ensemble confidence. The flexible scoring allows for several instrumentations: Horn, Euphonium, Tuba; 3 Trombones; 3 Euphoniums; 2 Euphoniums & Tuba and others. Young musicians will enjoy these introductory chamber pieces and find them suitable for festivals, competitions, concerts, recitals and other special occasions.
