This high-powered yet dark and exciting show is one that your audience will not soon forget! The first movement opens with a familiar bittersweet melody in the bells, followed by an explosive horn impact, reminiscent of Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, making a clear statement of uncertainty and chaos. In the second movement, the audience will be left to contemplate the current frame of mind, with a pensive and melodic break from all the commotion, including brief solos across the ensemble. The closing movement begins with a luscious chorale setting of Amazing Grace, giving the audience a false sense of assurance that everything is right again, before twisting into a dark and powerful finale. The closer features soli sections for woodwinds, brass, and percussion.
