Making good use of the polyrhythmic aspects of 3/4 time, Patty Darling has once again created a highly original composition that explores the wonderful sonorities of the big band. She manages to create fresh sounds without using extreme ranges or difficult rhythmic patterns and includes flexible solo space for tenor saxophone and/or trumpet. Contemporary, very musical and extremely creative!
