Wannsee is the second movement of the Impressions of Berlin suite. This lovely, beautiful, haunting melody features flute and flugelhorn, as they each have the opportunity to state this captivating theme. Set in a slow 3/4 Latin-ish feel, the lilting groove provides a mesmerizing backdrop for the melody and eventually moves into a standard bossa nova groove in 4/4 for the featured flugelhorn soloist.
