Johann Cruger's NUN DANKET ALLE GOTT combined with J.S. Bach's "Sinfonia" from Cantata 29 create a stellar musical interplay in the ultimate classical style. Rung throughout, this is a tour-de-force for advanced groups. The Sinfonia is made up of extended passages of 16th notes while NUN DANKET shines through in quarter and half notes. The contrapuntal interplay between the two unique titles is beautifully scored and groups will enjoy emphasizing the various distinctive lines as they weave in and out. The absence of articulations and a minimal number of accidentals belies the flawless technique and sheer musicianship this piece requires to be rung with clarity at tempo. A complex and fabulously gorgeous setting.
