Publisher Desc.  Broken Wheel is a half-time, latin/funk chart in mixed meter. Saxes play melodic line above a rhythm section ostinato; brass adds rhythmic puncuations throughout. 1st alto and 2nd trumpet are given lots of solo space, although this could be reassigned to any horn player. The changing meter makes the rhythm section parts fairly demanding...especially for drums. 1st trumpet plays to a B-flat above the staff; bass trombone has some exposed low F accents.
