Allegro Danzante
The brief Allegro Danzante, composed by Nino Rote during asummer sojourn in Fuggi, bears witness to his inventiveness. The work is constructed as a three-part album leaf reflecting the personality of the composer and his infallible sense of harmony and tonal colouring. Composed in 3/2 time, with a few 2/2 measures added throughout, this work also features dynamic contrasts, crisp articulations and musical phrases no longer than four measures at a time. A great teaching piece for an intermediate soloist.
