From the Maynard Ferguson library, this is a fast-paced, swinging chart with lots of solo space for trumpet and baritone saxophone. There is also plenty of high-powered ensemble writing throughout. This edited version is created from the original parts, but Maynard's solo and lead parts have been written into the standard trumpet section. Extra parts are included for traditional instrumentation. This chart is one of the most recorded pieces in the Ferguson book and usually served as his opener with the "Dream Band." Instrumentation: 5-5-4-4 or 4-4-2-3 as originally performed.
