In music, a hocket is the alternation of single pitches or small groups of pitches between parts resulting in a continuous melodic line. This original work uses hockets in an entertaining way throughout to reinforce counting and listening between sections of the orchestra. It uses only quarter-note rhythms. An excellent teaching piece for beginners and first-year students!
