"I'm Looking Over a Four Leaf Clover" was written in 1927 by
Mort Dixon and Harry M. Woods. The song was a huge hit that year with
multiple recordings released. The
melody has remained popular since, having been featured in Merrie Melodies
cartoons with Bugs Bunny, included in the UCLA Bruin victory song since 1954,
and as the melody for the parody "I'm Looking Over My Dead Dog
Rover" which was made famous by the Dr. Demento radio program. This arrangement
is perfect for beginning ukulele players both as a solo or a duet by playing
the chords. Lyrics for all the verses are included.
