Just for Two - Character Duets
Chamber music is (and should be ) considered a series of dialogues between the various players involved, each with their own voice and equal contribution. The musical advantages of performing chamber music are many but include such major components as acute awareness of intonation between the parts as well as primary versus secondary melodic lines. So it is then with this Just for Two installment where we have nine different and varied topics being discussed with two very close friends. These "conversations" present both "points of view" and, for the most part, end in agreement or at least a sense of an agree-to-disagree conclusion. Possible uses for any number of these duets might include anything from a short interlude between concert group setups to a brief presentation at a community, PTA or school board meeting. The nine books in this collection are an interchangeable series that will accommodate performances with any combination of instruments.
