Love's Redeeming Work Is Done
The Charles Wesley text comes from the 18th century, but the music comes from 21st-century England. Clothed in the garb of lofty cathedrals, the music begins majestically. Suddenly a stunning contrast in delicate a cappella counterpoint captures our imagination, saying "Christ has opened Paradise." This is truly an Easter anthem with a great deal to say, both textually and musically.
