Publisher Desc.  With lyrics and melody by Ron Flanary of Big Stone Gap, VA, this piece is has a featured vocal line behind a traditional big band. Ron's lyrics are very reminiscent of a Glenn Miller-style tune, as is the music for the ensemble. Lots of space to solo in a simple blues. I have included solo sheets as well for anyone wanting to show their talent. This piece was written for the UVA-Wise Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Donald Sorah and premiered in 2017. Great for a Rockin High School or College Jazz Band.
