This piece was originally written for 12 parts, but at the request of several ensembles, an optional oboe and English horn part have been added.  They are not required, and the demo recording featured

This is the first movement of a three-movement piece for mallet ensemble. Each movement functions as a sketch of a childhood memory. This first movement depicts a neighborhood game of hide and seek.
