This suite intended, for a third-year band or a very good second-year band, takes the players through the diverse styles and themes of Italian folk music. It begins with "Bella Ciao," a partisan song from World War 2, followed by the ever popular "Santa Lucia," "Ballo de Dodici" and the Sicilian hymn "O Sanctissima." The suite ends with "Cicerenella," a lively tarantella, a dance in 6/8 time.
