Bella ciao

Christophe Roger - Editions A Coeur Joie
Icon A cappella Publisher Desc.  "Bella ciao" is an Italian popular song which melody is based on a song that was sung by mondina women working in paddy fields in Po Valley, North Italy. It was a way for her to denounce their working conditions. Lyrics were written in 1944. The song became after the protest song of anti-fascist resistance. The famous melody is performed by every voice each in turn. The secondary voices also change, except for basses, so the song is equally divided between all parts, and your choristers will have no occasion of chatting during the training.
