O Holy Night
A cappella
Publisher Desc.
This beautiful 19th century carol has been updated to reflect a more modern sense of harmony. While keeping the melody in tact I have made some harmonic language changes that, I feel, enhance the original meaning of the carol. This piece is written for 6 part a cappella voices, splitting in the Alto and Bass. It should be performed with constant flowing motion eventually settling into the softer Major 9 chord at the end, with the same ebb and flow of the ripples caused by throwing a rock into a lake.
