Salty Dog
Publisher Desc.
The text and voicing of Salty Dog is particularly suited for all-boys groups. A "salty dog" is the seaman's "slanguage" for a "crusty ole sailor." In the three-part voicing, Part I, written for Cambiata in the treble clef, is limited to the comfortable singing area of A-A (above and below middle C) which makes it appropriate for Boy Trebles and/or Cambiatas (boys in the first phase of change); Part II and III are for Baritone I & II (the second phase of change) with a comfortable singngarea of D-D (above and below middle C).
