Three Pieces for Chanukah is not so much a set of arrangements of familiar words and tunes as it is a set of original compositions based on them. The first piece, Oh, Chanukah/Y'meit Hachanukah, features a jazz-influenced, classical harmonic and melodic treatment of the Hanukkah tune. The mood of the first setting is upbeat and joyful.
