These Christmas duets are terrific for the youngest pianists. The Primer book is written in with pre-staff notation. Primo and secondo parts written as equals in 5-finger positions. Melodies move from one part to the other, offering each pianist a chance to be both soloist and accompanist. Only the simplest rhythms are used. Level 1 is at the early elementary level and offers arrangements on the staff that occasionally move out of the 5-finger position. Level 2 is at the elementary level and offers an entertaining collection of eight Christmas duets in the keys of C Major, G Major, and D Minor.
