DUBLIN PAVANE, THE for Band
Publisher Desc.
The Dublin Pavan first appeared in a 1570 manuscript, still housed in the library of Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. It was probably a keyboard arrangement of a popular song or dance tune of the time. Its slow, stately rhythms adapt themselves well to young orchestra musicians, and the antique spirit of the music hearkens back almost 500 years.
