I Got Rhythm
Serving as a longtime go-to vehicle for improvisation, Gershwin's I Got Rhythm receives an outstanding and unique treatment from Nelson Riddle for Ella Fitzgerald's 1959 album "Ella Fitzgerald Sings the George and Ira Gershwin Song Book." This studio orchestra arrangement calls for five saxophones doubling on flutes and clarinets, 4 trumpets, horn in F, 3 trombones, bass trombone, 3 violins, viola, 3 celli, harp, guitar, piano, bass, timpani, and drums. An optional synthesizer part is included that may be used in place of the strings. This is not a transcriotion and was prepared from Nelson Riddle's original pencil score. Vocal Keys: C and D
