Miserere

Dimitri Tchesnokov - Editions A Coeur Joie
Icon A cappella Publisher Desc.  Dimitri TCHESNOKOV is a Russian-born composer, born in 1982, living in Paris since 1998. His work covers a very broad instrumental spectrum from chamber music to symphony orchestra as well as various formations such as flute trio, saxophone quartet, string orchestra, various wind orchestras, not to mention his orchestras, not to mention his piano pieces and choral works. Like most of his works, this one (Opus 43 - n2) is distinguished by its absolute independence from any contemporary musical movement. This piece based on Latin religious text is of the utmost simplicity almost austere, allowing the audience, as the composer intended, to immerse themselves in this musical world ... This piece, as part of the trilogy "Trois Chants Sacres" was premiered by the Choir "les Metaboles", conducted by Leo WARYNSKI, on April 1, 2009 in Paris, during the sixth edition of the "Envolees Musicales" festival.
