Publisher Desc.  This a variation on Henry Mancini's famous Theme fro Peter Gunn. The score features 3 different hand deon patterns inspired by the Ga People of Ghana. The piece gre out of a discuuss in World Music Class and I was thinking of somehow using the drumming with a Jazz band, Kpanlogo drumming was developed by young people as part of the celepration of Ghana's independance from Britian in the mid 19540's. Kpanlogo refers to dancing as well as the drumming. The piece is geared towards an intermediate jazz ensemble and features the brass section. It has been a lot of fun for the band to perform and a Challange for the drummers. I would suggest exploring the culture of Ghana and the Ga .
