Sixteen Sensational Solos
Publisher Desc.
The Sixteen Sensational Solos for string orchestra have been arranged so that they can be played by a solo violin, viola, cello or bass with piano accompaniment. They may also be played in unison to establish greater uniformity within your ensemble. These pieces, which are short yet highly descriptive, cover a range of technical skills such as harmonics, martele, spiccato, slurred legato, string crossings, and right- and left-hand pizzicato. Studied in conjunction with the orchestral version, young players will gain even more confidence when playing by themselves.
