Publisher Desc.  I envisioned Sonata 2020 as something of a diversion from all that year entailed. Some of the motives are tongue in cheek, playful or unabashedly romantic, inspired at times by dance, jazz, and Chopin. I have used standard Classical structures for each movement. The first movement is Sonata Allegro Form: Exposition with two contrasting themes, traditional Development and Recapitulation including the necessary alteration of the second theme. The second movement is a simple ABA structure. The last movement is a five part Rondo, ABACA with the C motive a reappearance of the second theme of the first movement, this time with triplicated rhythm.
