Twelve Sonatinen
Publisher Desc.
Published in score format. These duets were selected from 3 volumes containing six sonatinas each, and which were arrangements by Jean Andre after compositions by Pleyel. Ignaz (or Ignace) Pleyel was born in Ruppersthal in Lower Austria, on June 18, 1757. He was a pupil of Haydn, with whom he developed a close relationship, and who considered him a superb student. In 1783 Pleyel moved to Strasbourg, France; and to Paris in 1795. In 1824, he retired to the countryside ca. 30 miles outside of that city. He died on November 14, 1831, and is buried in the Pere Lachaise Cemetery in Paris. Edited by Gerhart Weinberger.
