Publisher Desc.  Vinayaka is another name for the Hindu God Ganesh. The representation of this God is known for symbolizing protection and the removal of obstacles in one's life. When setting this idea to music, I wanted to bring forth the idea of longing to find one's path and how to can be traversed while eventually all resolving as it should in the end. Through the string orchestra, I was able to add to the long tradition of utilizing the strings for longing, passionate phrases.
