The Spanish edition of the first chorus – “And the Glory of the Lord” – in Handel´s Messiah will surely be a favorite of church choirs and choral groups “de habla hispana.” An expression of praise, the chorus concludes a section of the oratorio that tells of God´s promise of hope through the prophetic texts from the book of Isaiah.
