The musette is a small French bagpipe that became quite fashionable in Louis XIV's time. In the "Musette" the note G sounds throughout, allowing for developing players to carefully pitch their notes. The "Air" comes from Handel's opera "Rinaldo" and is one of the most beautiful tunes ever written. The set concludes with a very jolly bourree by the most prolific composer of all time - Georg Philipp Telemann.
